Me and Amy Bolton flew up to Sandy for their Beach Party Fly-in followed by 3 of the Plaistows Squadron fixed wing aircraft. What can I say about it, Pete, Annabelle and the crew always go the extra mile when it comes to their fly-ins. The beach was there with the beach bar, the bucket and spades and the sea in the form of some dug out holes lined with plastic and filled with water - the kids loved it but I restrained myself. The food was good, at a very reasonable price and their was plenty of it. The facilities at Sandy have improved no end, the welcome is very warm and is well worth a visit if your anywhere near. Thanks for a cracking day sorry I couldn't stay the night!
